Marrakech - High Atlas - Ait Ben Haddou - Dades Gorge
Departure from Marrakech in the morning. We cross the Tizi n'Tichka pass in the High Atlas Mountains, enjoying panoramic views. We visit the famous fortified city of Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, the filming location for Gladiator and Game of Thrones. Continuing via Ouarzazate, we drive through the Valley of the Roses to Dades Gorge for our first night.
Dades Gorge - Todra Gorge - Merzouga (Erg Chebbi Dunes)
After breakfast, we travel to Todra Gorge, a massive fault splitting the High Atlas. Walk along the riverbed between vertical cliffs. After lunch, we proceed to Erfoud and finally Merzouga. Here, you will swap your vehicle for camels, trekking across the golden sand dunes of Erg Chebbi to our desert camp. Feast on a traditional Moroccan dinner and listen to Berber drumming around the campfire.
Merzouga - Draa Valley - Ouarzazate - Marrakech
Wake up early to catch a breathtaking desert sunrise. After a camel ride back to Merzouga for breakfast and a shower, we begin our return journey. We drive through the Draa Valley, one of the longest palm groves in Morocco, and pass through Ouarzazate before crossing the Atlas Mountains back to Marrakech, arriving in the evening.
